Mother earth

I am filled with beauty
And wonder.
With it’s orange glow,
The rising sun gives me
Warmth in the morning.
The orange glow
Spreads all over me,
Bringing out my beauty
In a thousand folds.
 
People get up early,
Before dawn,
To go down
The deep valleys
Or climb up
The tall mountains
To see my beauty
Mingled with the orange.
 
The birds are singing in
Sweet harmony
To celebrate the day.
The buds are opening into flowers
And bowing their heads
Honouring my beauty.
 
The trees are awake
After a lazy night’s sleep;
Ready to soak and drown
In day dreams.
 
The waves are moulding my mud
Into lovely shapes;
Rushing to touch
The vast and silent shores.
 
The oceans are
Shimmering orange;
Breathing in and out,
Off my sandy banks.
 
 
 
 
The blue water surrounding me
Is the secret to my beauty.
Keep my water dashing,
Splashing, leaping, and flowing in
Circles around me.
Cherish it.
 
Please don’t let it dry up.
I won’t be able to
Survive without my water,
Nor will the beauty and life
Living on me.
 
Dusk is here.
After a hot perspiring day
The sun is gliding down ready to
Take a dip in the cool sea water below.
 
The skyline is scattered with
Gold dust.
The drifting clouds, soaked in reds, pause to
Catch a glimpse of their
reflection in the blue waters below.
 
Within my silent self,
I feel the heavy weight
Of change.
I shiver.
However, I also feel the love
And kindness
Hiding in people’s hearts.
It takes weight off me
And I feel light again.
 
I hope you would
Take good care of me
And keep me spinning
In space
For a long, long time.
 

I surrender back to the start

With the first song at dawn, the world is brand new,
The sun bathes the buildings, the sky perfectly blue.  
The world is a mirror, what we so choose to see, 
Is an honest reflection of our reality. 

So as this new page is turned, we can look to the sun,
And realize our journey has just begun.
The path may be covered with thorns or gold,
Our experience is determined by the reality we hold.

The past is now over no need to look back, 
Those experiences made us richer, it's futile to focus on the lack.
Every moment is a gift from the divinity,
Each hardship a lesson, to teach us to be free.

My pain and my wounds opened my heart, 
I carry no pain or resentment, I surrender back to the start. 
To present the most authentic me to this beautiful land, 
Which bows at my feet and lends me a hand.

Through my darkest day and my longest night, 
I searched to find the most burning 
light. 
And as the truth unfolded and taught me to be.  
I learnt to love and honor me. 

As those mindsets of old have crumbled away,
I put in place the strong foundations that will show me the way. 
I will always turn my head to the beautiful light,
And leave behind the negative energies I used to fight. 

No more energy vampires will suck my soul, 
Taking me miles away from my most cherished goal.
Discipline, perserverance and focused thought, 
Will carry me to the highest mountain, the loftiest fort.

As I line up my challenges, one by one
And conquer each task, I bask in the sun.
And grow in stature, grow into me, 
Become an instrument of service, to help others to be.
